Ohutu Kennels have dogs that come up for sale. As much as I would like to keep all my dogs it is not possible to breed and not sell some of the older pups, some of which have been kept to train on. I like to work bitches so only intend keeping my breeding dogs long term.

Mist (young bitch) from Sioux x Astra Sky. Born 20/1/2008. Mist has a very sweet
nature and is working sheep very well. She is kind on sheep but firm and
is working off on her sides when heading and with her pulling. Mist is
trained on sides, stop, pull and learning to drive. Mist
is under voice command and working a mob nicely. Mist's web page

Lad of the Night of Ohutu born 3/10/2007. Lad is a nice dog. He is a dog that listens. He is coming on nicely with his sheep work. He is a kind dog but he does get a reaction from sheep and they move off easily. He will make a good farm dog and have also put him on cattle, heading on them but so far no bark at the head. Lad will be a very useful dog. I am using Lad for normal farm work. Follows the bike, musters sheep out of paddocks and drives them, heading when needed to get them to the woolshed. (Baz) Dog pup from Fern x Astra Sky Tri-colour. Baz is coming on well on sheep, very responsive to my commands and got a lovely working style. Baz is a nice working dog. He has Sky's nice driving abilities. A real pleasure taking this young dog out on sheep. In training. |

(Star) Bitch Pup from Astra Jill x Cruz. Tri-colour.
Great style on this pup, is very focused and has made a good start to
working sheep. Star is shaping up to be a very nice worker. Kind,
loving nature but is driven to work.

(Joe) Dog Pup from Astra Jill x Cruz. Black and White Medium coat. He is a bit of a clown. He is very nice!! Can be a bit independent at times but is coming along nicely. I have just started him on sheep and will keep on with his training now.

(Dell) Bitch Pup from Astra Jill x Cruz. Tri-colour. Dell has a very playful nature. I will be training her for sheep work. She has been started and so far is a very gentle dog on stock, her confidence is building all the time. For a start she took too much notice of me but is settling in better now.
